The winner of six MotoGP races paid the price for Suzuki's departure from the World Championship after the 2022 season. Last year he moved to a satellite Honda team, but the season didn't bring him much luck. He got an early win, but then crashed badly and injured his leg, forcing him to miss much of the season. This year, a new challenge awaited him as he joined the Yamaha factory team.
