He displaced Spain's Jorge Martin from the lead, who was unable to finish the race after a fall. Bagnaia secured victory with a three-tenths lead over Spain's Maverick Viñales, with Frenchman Fabio Quartararo coming in third. The Italian rider clinched his sixth win of the season despite starting from the 13th position.
