Bagnaia scored his second MotoGP victory of the season after the Portuguese Grand Prix. In the Spanish Grand Prix he took on Brad Binder, winner of Saturday's sprint, to win by 221 thousandths and claim his 13th career MotoGP victory. With this result, he moved into first place in the World Championship standings, ahead of his compatriot Marco Bezzecchi.
