Fabio Quartararo court en MotoGP depuis la saison 2019. Bien qu'il n'ait jamais lutté pour les titres dans les catégories Moto3 et Moto2, la MotoGP lui convient très bien. Il a d'abord couru pour l'équipe Petronas SRT Yamaha et a obtenu sept podiums lors de son année de rookie. En 2020, il a remporté les trois premières victoires. Pour 2021, l'équipe d'usine Yamaha l'a choisi pour remplacer Valentino Rossie. Et il a montré que c'était une bonne décision de lui donner cette opportunité, puisqu'il est devenu champion du monde. Cependant, les deux dernières saisons n'ont pas été aussi fructueuses pour le Français. Bien qu'il ait été vice-champion du monde en 2022, il a connu des difficultés l'année dernière avec Yamaha et a chuté à la 10e place.
